Meet The Cast: Hugh Garry

Arrgh it's already December we at the Loaded HQ haven't even started our Christmas shopping, let alone finished it. We've been too busy getting everything together for NYE; and it's looking good so far. We however get a chance to quickly pester some of the DJs who'll be plying up with festive madness on the witching hour and thought we'd share some of the insightful things we found out.
First up is the fabulous Huey
Name: HueyQuick Bio: DJed for 20 Years for parties such as Kissdafunk, Twisted Elegance and Garlands
What is the must fun, memorable NYE party you've had and why?
I had some incredible New Year's at Garlands, the one with the 50
piece gospel choir, the opera singer, the one when we raised Elvis
form the dead, but because of the location I'd have to say the last 2
Loaded events have been my favourite. The setting is incredible and
the production is superb.

If we happen upon you at the bar on NYE what drink should we buy you?
I'm buying. Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends.
If after a NYE party you were invited to an after party - who would
you dream afterparty friends be and why?
Andy Warhol, Jimi Hendrix, Oliver Reed, Sean Ryder and Alan Partridge.
Who in your opinion would be the worst celebrity to go to Loaded NYE
party with; and why?
David Beckham - He'd take all the attention away from me.
If you were given an Invisibility cloak, like that of Harry Potter's
for the day, where would you go?
I'd go to the dressing room of a certain Judge from X-Factor. Not
Cheryl of Danni, but Simon. I'm fascinated to see how he does that
thing with his hair. Quite remarkable.
What's the most outrageous party; or after party you've ever been
too; and why?
Spent a very strange night with Sean Ryder in Ibiza looking for a
non-existent afterparty at Annie Nightingale's non-existant villa and
inadvertently played a part in getting the Mondays reformed.
What's been your biggest blag?
I've never been in a situation when I've had to though at Glastonbury
this year Tim Westwood didn't have his pass to get backstage when Jay
Z was on so I had to blag him in - me blagging Westwood in to Jay Z is
pretty impressive.
This year's Loaded NYE theme is Modern Masquerade. What tips do you
have for anyone stuck for a costume suggestion?
Paint a mask on your face then the possibilities are endless.
What's the worst Christmas present you ever received?
All my presents are always amazing.
What's the longest you've stay awake and why?
I have real problems sleeping in Ibiza. A few years back we were doing
a party on the Monday and the Tuesday then I'd catch the stupid
o'clock flight home in the middle of Wednesday night. I did for 13
weeks with virtually no sleep between Monday and Thursday.
Which tune are you looking forward to playing at NYE?
MGMT - Kids (Soulwax)
Why should people pick Loaded as their NYE Destination?
Midnight just isn't the same anywhere else...

Meet The Cast: Tomdalips Our Sexy Saxonphonist
Over the next few weeks, we're going to be introducing you to the cast of Loaded.Firstly give a massive round of applause to Tomdalips the Saxonphonist. Tom has been a professional musician blowing his own trumpet ..er I mean Saxonphone for the club and events industry for numerous years. His twisted jazz funk style makes an excellent accompaniment the pretty scurrilous mayhem that typically occurs at our parties.
He has been playing for Loaded/Supersocial for 3 years now as well as holding a residency at The Atlas Bar, Deansgate Locks, Manchester for over the same period.
The clubbing keen amongst you may have also spotted him in venue Sankeys, Baby Grand, Revolution and Club North. Say hello Tom.
Thanks to the fab guys at Boocas.com for the pic.
